Abstract

The aim of using the natural ameliorative materials is to modify soil properties, for increasing the soil resistance against introskeletal erosion and for supporting the development of outplanted trees, especially in the root layer. Those materials must at the same time meet the ecological demands on nature conservation in the KRNAP and on water conservation in the protective region of water resources the Krkonoše Mts. The first results, for the present pertaining to the influences of the ameliorative materials (a garden earth, a silicate basic rock meal) on growth of the spruce plantations, validated positive impact of the ameliorative treatments on the height and diameter increment of the planted trees (especially the mixture of both materials). If the suggested trends are confirmed also in a following time, the special substratum, composed of the fit mineral earth and silicate basic rock meal, could be considered for plantation establishment on sites at introskeletal erosion risk in the Krkonoše Mts.
