Vratislav Balcar, Ph.D.

Vratislav Balcar, Ph.D. (born in 1943, March 23 in Prague) graduated on the Forest Faculty of the Agricultural University at Brno in 1969. As a technician, he was employed in the Forest Enterprise in Cesky Krumlov from 1969 to 1976. From 1976, he has worked in the Forest Research Station at Opocno. He is solving problems connected with silviculture related to forest regeneration in air polluted areas. In 1987 he created theses on the theme: Tolerance of woody plants in juvenile stage to industrial emissions. His publications are listed in the Czech version.
